Dear Wildwood Playgrounds,

This request is very important for the City of Molalla and should be considered official communication that we require answers to. We’ve tried to contact you several times over the past two years to find replacement parts for the equipment you installed here in Molalla at Fox Park, but I’m not getting any responses. What I am getting is extreme pressure from (1) the public, (2) my managers, (3) my insurance agent to repair this equipment. That’s in addition to the personal ethics concerns I have as to my duties to make safe this park.

Since you’ve been unable to supply the parts I’ve requested I reached out to other companies (GameTime, etc) but they refuse to sell me any parts to bolt on to one a Wildwood play structure. I’ve tried buying after market parts from off-brand suppliers but there is no information on whether their equipment will fit on Wildewood, whether they would be safe, or how mounting to your structure would work. I can’t find whether replacement after market shaft collars like the one needed in the image below should be hardened or if mild steel is safe, or what the coating should be. The entanglement issues surround in the cracks in these panels is literally life threatening according to the CPSI certified inspector who looked at this structure for me.

I’m really sort of at a loss. Can you please please help me figure out where to get parts, or after market parts, for this set? I need slides, shaft collars, bolts, panels. Attached is the safety report I had done last year to understand the problem, and below are images of some of these issues. Please contact me by email and share any information you may have. The folks CCed on this email chain are high level stakeholders that are demanding answers. I hope you can help me.

Thank you!

Andy Peters
