Gerald, just FYI, I did some research and reached out to a few folks in the Disc Golf Community today. A disc weighs 0.4lbs, travels between 40mph-50mph, can fly 500ft, and has an edge <1mm thick (for less air resistance). I don’t need to do F=ma to know that if one hits a car it makes a dent; If it hits a tree it cuts through bark (we can see this in our trees); If it hits a human eye the eye is lost. These idiots send people to the hospital all the time. But it’s not because they are doing anything wrong. It’s because they put frisbee golf in the same place where kids play soccer and old people walk. Whoever approved frisbie golf in Clark Park likely thought a frisbee meant a 6oz “frisbee”, not a ½ lb buzz saw. It’s easy to find injury accounts online. Here is one where a Martha’s Vineyard trail walker lost an eyeball. This is just information for you, I know you are busy.
