Subject: Disc Golf Course at Clark Park
All,
We had another meeting regarding the damage to the fence at the Disc Golf Course at Clark Park. The City has decided that they are going to wait until we can do some enforcement in the park because the repair will be about $10k and they don’t want to repair it just to have it damaged right away.
Please make the effort to patrol the park and make contact with those using the course. Let them know that because of the damage, we do have the risk of losing it. Not all using the disc course are guilty of the damage, but lets make contact and spread the word.
Again, some of the complaints we are getting is that the disc golfers are cutting the fence to retrieve those discs that go over and that there is a lot of alcohol consumption occurring. Sergeant Long has already contacted some folks using the course. With the upcoming weather, I see the park use picking up.
