Susette, we were able to confirm in the field that the water causing Icy Conditions on your parking lot is coming from the sump pump in the vault noted in the image attached, which is the Backflow Assembly serving the building. The Ice appears to be forming in a large area as shown in the image. This vault and it’s contents are on the Private Side, so if you have a building and grounds maintenance person you can call that would be your first step. It looks like the water is designed to flow all the way across the lot into the catch basin on the West end. That’s unfortunate. I’m CCing our Public Works Director also so he’s aware, since the complex is a recent construction project.
Incidentally, I’m glad you called because we also found a small water leak in the other vault which the City is responsible for. We have it on our work list to repair in now, so thank you.
