Hi Gerald,

Thanks for the update, I will be on the lookout for any plumbing permits relating to this issue. I’d appreciate it if you would keep me updated on the situation.

Thanks again,

Brad

Hi Brad,

We believe that Factory homes connected one or more of the homes in the Toliver Estates mobile park to the fire line instead of the domestic metered line. The owner of the development is the one responsible for ensuring that all connections are made to the appropriate pipes. In order to determine which homes are incorrectly connected, we are shutting down the fire system in cooperation with the Fire District. Once the calls come in then we will know who was connected to the wrong line and Factory Homes has been put on notice that they are responsible for correcting the error.

In the off chance that this is a coincidence and a leak in the fire line has developed and no calls come in, then we will be contacting the owner of the development and have them hire a leak detection service company to determine where the leak is and make the necessary repairs. Neither the internal domestic system or the fire system are publicly owned and operated, so this will be a plumbing permit issue either way. We wanted to give you a heads up because Factory Homes, their subcontractor, or the development owner may be contacting you for an quick permit turnaround if one is required. Thanks.

Subject: Factory Homes

Folks, we are shutting off the fire line in Toliver Estates because we believe have houses that are mis-connected to a fire line. When these folks call in we need to take their address (which exact unit in Toliver Estates it is). We can then pass them the phone number of the developer who will be addressing their concerns (below). The Fire dept has approved this shutdown. We will turn the water back on at a time TBD.
