Mike,
Thanks for the update. I have scheduled a meeting with the gentleman that is going to clear the blackberries next Wednesday the 5th. I also have a call in to the FireStop folks to schedule an inspection of the sprinkler system. I'll give you a progress update next week.
Thanks,

Good afternoon Bill. I finally had the opportunity to check they hydrants at your site off of West Main. The fire hydrant just past the gate, is functional. However, when opened, water is coming from the top nut on the hydrant. This hydrant will need maintenance. I was unable to get flow readings for the water supply at this site due to not being able to access the hydrant at the rear of the property as it, as well as the FDC for the sprinkler system, is overgrown in berry briers. I have attached photos. These need to be cut back so that the hydrant and FDC are accessible. As far as the sprinkler system goes, the last test/inspection date as per the tag on the riser, was 2015. NFPA 25 Chapter 5 section 5.1.1.2 requires at least annual inspection and maintenance. The sprinkler system is required for vehicle maintenance building at the rear of the property and will need to be serviced. When we spoke several weeks back, you mentioned something about possibly new construction at this site. With the current configuration of the buildings, the hydrant spacing is minimally effective. If new buildings or construction is to be done at this site, additional hydrants and repair of the line will be required. Please let me know when they hydrant and FDC have been cleared, and I will test the system and get you accurate flow rates.
