Folks, I know email isn’t the best way to get information out, but I’m just having trouble meeting with all groups and getting all info to everyone.
As you know I’ve asked Shawn to spearhead our fleet maintenance program, for all trucks and equipment, in all divisions. He’s using a custom system to accomplish this, and it’s my decision to use “time intervals” rather than mileage to determine service dates. The reason for that is using mileage would be an additional system touch, which introduces human error and complexity into our processes: someone would have to check and record mileages, which I do not wish to do.
So pease assist Shawn in his efforts. If you need ANYTHING for ANY vehicle, what I’d like you to do is enter a work order with the budget fund FLEET (see screenshot below). The system will make you tell us which truck (if it doesn’t exist, call Shawn), and Shawn will see the work on the Load Report and coordinate what’s needed.
Please let me know if you have any questions. If you feel left out of the loop on information, what I’d like to do is formally invite you to the Tuesday meetings at 10am at the City Shops. In that meeting we go over everything in detail. I’m sorry I just can’t do this 3 times in a row every week, with each group. If we need a bigger venue, I we can find one.
