Hi Nicolas,

They are required to install the curb and match into the existing curb. If the cut the pavement at the face of curb then they won’t have to repair the pavement. The detail drawing is available but in this case I will not require curb and gutter. They can just match in with Type C curb.

Subject: Driveway Specs, Q's

Gerald,

A new driveway apron is being poured on E 3rd street. My question is whether or not we should require a gutter on the new driveway apron? I was thinking yes but the rest of the street doesn’t have a gutter, but this way when the street does get improved this apron is ready done.

Secondly, there’s an MCC cable line that runs underneath all of the driveways along this section of 3rd street. Is the contractor to contact MCC about pouring concrete over this line? Or is this something that the communication company assumes as standard practice?

Thanks,
