Thanks for the response and explanation. My lease for this property is expiring on September 5, 2017 so I will forward this information to the landlord, Jim Taylor. How should I handle the billing for the 5 days for which I am still responsible for the charges for this property?

Thank you,

Hi Brad,

I spoke with Dan Huff, City Manager regarding the letter. His letter was in response to retroactive payment for non-payment of sewer and storm drainage fees. The purpose of the letter was not setting a waiver of stormwater fees going forward but to address prior stormwater fees. The fees charged to property owners is based on our recent audit of accounts and if you received a bill for stormwater in your latest billing then that is based on the storm fee assessment going forward. No retroactive fees will be assessed since it is something we discovered as part of our account audits. Attached is a copy of the stormwater methodology and fee resolution that was sent to and approved by City Council on June 14, 2017. Thanks and let us know if you have any additional questions.

Gerald- It was nice speaking with you today about the storm drain bill. Per our conversation, I have enclosed a copy of the letter I received from Dan Huff confirm that the storm drain fees do not apply. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Thank you,
