Subject: 16-1449 BMX Restrooms

Last night I noticed that the lights were off at the BMX restrooms. I checked the doors and they were unlocked leading me to believe there was no power to the building. Upon further investigation, I noticed the breaker box appeared to be broken into and all the breakers were in the “off” position. I turned the breakers back on but could not secure the breaker box. I did this so I could see if they lights were still on when I drove by during my patrol of the area. The breaker box in on the back side of the building out in the open. My guess is it was broken to gain access to the restrooms for transients trying to get out of the weather.

I did a report but wanted to let you know so you could get someone on it to fix it ASAP, and maybe sugest that some kind of bracket or cage be put on it to prevent future vandalism.
