Hi Kim,
I am not sure if you are the main point of contact for the BMX group. If not, then please forward on to the appropriate party.
There are a few issues that need to be immediately addressed with the use of this facility and compliance with the Lease Agreement.
1. All events require the completion of n Special Event Permit to be filled out and submitted to Maegan at the City via email, mail, or hand delivered.
2. All signs instructing people to prop open the restroom doors will be removed and notice sent out by the BMX folks that this will no longer be allowed.
3. Security measures to prevent vehicles from entering the facility will be installed and maintained at all times. (We’ve received a report that people were 4-wheeling in the track after 10 PM and keeping nearby residences awake prompting calls to PD)
4. Use of school property for overnight parking is prohibited unless written permission from the School District is received and a copy submitted to the City is provided for each event.
Your immediate attention to these items is appreciated and we want to continue to help the BMX facility be a success.
With that said, what is the status of the event application for this weekend? I want to make sure there is time to process so we don’t have an issue with the use of the BMX facilities since it is for this upcoming weekend. Please get with Maegan. Thanks.
