I just got to the gym to teach my class! I delivered everything for tomorrow, unpacked the kitchen and set up the coffee bar! I am so proud of myself ;-) Todd and crew are working really hard. It's a total sauna in the building because none of the HVAC is on.

It's coming together ;-)

Thanks for the suggestion to the message. I'll send it when I get home.

See you tomorrow!

Nina:

You think of everything! A breakfast bar. :)) :))

I changed a couple things in the first paragraph.

Hope you had a good weekend and did not work too much.

Joni,

It looks like our computers are all up and working. I've been sending stuff to and fro from home most of the am. See what you think of my draft reply to Susan. I consider this to be the last email on the topic unless the City doesn't approve our edits at the 5/27 meeting. I'm headed to Costco shortly to pick up the items for our breakfast bar tomorrow in our new space!!! Feel free to call my cell if you want.

Hope you've had a good weekend.

Nina

Susan,

We have heard you about the need to make sure Tiffany and other DEQ staff who are soft spoken speak into microphones when we are at meetings and we pledge to bring our own system for DEQ sponsored gatherings. We appreciate your suggestions on this matter.

Everything Tiffany said is captured in the minutes I sent you. There were only a handful of questions asked by the mayor and two council members. They were recorded (as the minutes I sent you show). Dan, Tiffany and I all read the account captured by the City and we are in agreement that all of the information we provided is there. I sent you copies as a courtesy since Sadie told me she would share our edits with the Mayor and council at the May 27th meeting. I didn't want you to have to wait that long. I intend to follow up with her after the 5/27 meeting to ensure that our changes were included. As soon as that's occurred, I will consider the matter closed.

As for the issue of notification you identified below at the end of your email, we are in the process of setting up a meeting with ODA. It has been a challenge because of the legislative session. I will provide an update when there is information to share. Joni will be taking part in the discussions.

Nina,

I still question that Tiffany's extensive, impossible to hear comments made it into either of these records. I may go sometime and listen/watch the video recording. She talked a long time and there is next to nothing in either of these accounts from her.

These original draft minutes were attached to the agenda notice I got last week for the city council meeting on Wed. May 13 so I question whether your version will be revisited - unless you told Sadie to hold off on approval of the city's version which went out with the agenda?

Again, Tiffany should always have a microphone with her in public. Her voice does not carry.

And when do you expect that DEQ - you or Tiffany - will have an answer to my question to Tiffany at the hearing about what agency should step up and inform the public when water is contaminated as Creamery Creek was last year with very high E.coli counts? You said you were looking into that and we are owed an answer so we can call the correct agency or the city in the future and get the facts out to the public so they are not endangered with 14,800 E.Coli in their neighborhoods and backyards.
