Subject: PSU population projection 2017

Dear Molalla "leaders",

Perhaps you are not aware, but every year PSU sends a work sheet to every city in the state asking for information about housing starts. Competent cities reply to the survey, since many funding issues depend on showing a yearly population projection that is as close to accurate as possible. Often Molalla has failed to respond to the work sheet and thus has its population figures frozen on the past years population numbers.

Were you aware that your city "officials" failed to submit the population work sheet to PSU this year and thus the population figures that came out today (attached) are the same as last year's figures?

I called PSU today to find out if Molalla had submitted the work sheet and PSU confirmed there was nothing submitted. They said cities have a second chance to send in the work sheet by Dec. 15. Perhaps you need to ask your "staff" why they failed to perform this task in a timely manner?

What do you pay all your "staff" to do if they can't respond to an important work sheet that reflects growth so you can properly collect funds based on population growth? Or maybe the city is so rich it doesn't need the money?

Good luck!
