Subject: Molalla utility information / Consent Decree
Importance: Normal
Attachments: [33] Final Consent Decree.pdf; Mr. Pinney, To follow up on our conversation this morning - you asked what Molalla's sewer rates were. I am surprised DEQ isn't well informed about that, given the tens of millions of dollars that will be needed to fix the problems with Molalla's wastewater management. Here is a link that outlines what the current situation is: Find attached the Bear Creek Recovery Clean Water Act lawsuit (enforceable) Consent Decree. Note the date of the decree and the tasks associated with the Consent Decree. Point is, the deficiencies in wastewater management in Molalla have been well known and documented for years. It is a shame it takes citizen activists to do the job DEQ is supposed to do. Susan Hansen Bear Creek Recovery.
