Hi There,

A couple of more comments about the hearing last week.

Below is a message from the Pioneer editor Peggy Savage after I thanked her for putting notice of the hearing on the front page. She could not get into the building because apparently after we were let in 15 minutes late after the 6pm start time, the doors were locked behind us - so no late comers could get in, including the newspaper editor who would have written a story I expect.

I stand by my observations that that "hearing" was not a satisfactory experience. I also suggest that DEQ always bring a microphone so when people sit at a table to be recorded for official testimony the people sitting behind them can hear what they are saying.

Also, regarding Mayor Rogge's side comment that Molalla would "never" use Class A water in the city limits, I am not sure if I told Nina about the idea Rogge is spreading: that the solution would be for Molalla to truck its recycled water over Mt. Hood to help fight fires. Just so you know what "ideas" are floating around the City of Molalla.

I was a little late getting there and couldn’t get in – the doors were all locked.

Sorry I missed it!
