Susan

The process for creating or updating a total maximum daily load document (TMDL) is organized and led by DEQ and involves many more stakeholders than just the NPDES permit holders. We don’t have plans to update the existing TMDL for the Molalla River currently. The city has asked if they could be considered a new discharger if we modified if their permit were to be modifies to but we have not spent time investigating that questions in depth at this time. That is because they have not yet providing us with a proposal to modify their permit, which we’d likely get after we have technical meeting with them. And they have not, as of right now, sent us the questions that they want to explore in that technical meeting.

Let me know if this is not clear.

Subject: Molalla TDML draft?

Dear Tiffany,

Have you or any other DEQ department gotten a draft of a TDML for Molalla yet? If it is not going through your department please tell me who to ask.

Have you gotten Molalla's questions yet about technical standards?

Susan
