Subject: FW: P55-2017 610 E 7th st. ( Storage Building/Pole Barn) - Code Enforcement

Dan,

A little history. This was a code enforcement issue and they were issued a stop work order because they didn’t have Planning approvals.

This has again become a code enforcement issue and the property owner is refusing to follow City laws and requirements. The owner of this property was not allowed to take access off of 8th and is violation the terms of his approval to build a shop building. See attached images. Access from 8th will immediately cease and the fence will be reinstalled. Failure to do so is a violation of their conditions of approval, our PW standards, and the code and they will be cited into court. Also, there appears to be a storm cleanout or other apparatus that has been damaged. According to our records, there is no storm facilities in the public ROW at this location. Our crews will investigate and if the property owner installed their drywell on the public ROW then that will be separate offenses for construction of a facility not on their property, construction within public ROW without a permit, etc. Thanks.

Andy – Please have our crews investigate this storm issue. The development was 2007-03 Alyssa Meadows. I see no records of storm at this location. If it does belong to us then let Dan, Sam and I know. Thanks.

Hi Aldo,

Since they are not proposing access outside of the existing one on to 7th Street then I have no comments. They will be required to take out a Public Works Right of Way Permit to core drill and install a weep hole thru the curb on 8th Street. Let me know if you need anything else.

Hello,

This accessory building is located in an R1 zone. Access would through the current paved driveway. They did re-submit the site plan today, with an updated stormwater plan.
