Jennifer,

You were gone by the time Dan got un-busy, so I spoke with him about this. He agreed we should participate since the County is doing the work and our contribution is small. It had to be sent in today since the closing date falls on this Sunday, so with Dan’s permission, I filled out the form and emailed it in. Hopefully you are okay with this because it specifically states there would be no late applications accepted.

Hi Rod,

We haven’t heard from Molalla regarding city interest in participating in the County Debris Management Planning project. We are encouraging all cities to participate as this is a unique opportunity to draft a debris management plan for the city at a very affordable cost. Also, since it’s part of the overall County debris management planning process, it’s an excellent opportunity to have the city plan be well integrated with the County plan. Is Molalla interested? Do you have questions I can help answer?

Thank you,

Sarah

Subject: Debris Management Planning is here! Call for city participation due by May 31, 2015

Homeland Security Task Force and Communities Emergency Management partners –

Debris Management planning has come to Clackamas County!

The Clackamas County Departments of Transportation and Development and Emergency Management have selected Ecology and Environment, Inc. as the contractor to write the County Debris Management Plan over the next year. The Countywide Debris Management Plan will include a main County plan and City addenda, similar to the fashion that the Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan was written (see NHMP for example). Clackamas County Emergency Management will fund the development of the County plan and will share in the cost of city plans/addenda for up to 10 cities. Each city will be expected to pay $1,500 for the development of the city’s plan.

If your city would like to participate in the Debris Management project, please complete the attached commitment form and return it to me by May 31, 2015. Late forms will not be accommodated due to the need to have all participating cities identified and incorporated into the project the first part of June.

For Oregon City, Happy Valley and Wilsonville – I have your completed forms on file. Please let me know if you would like to be invoiced for the project prior to June 30th, or after July 1st with the invoice due by September 30th.

We are excited for the planning opportunity and look forward to working with you.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Sarah
