Attachments: image001.png; image002.png; Hi all, I appreciate this conversation, but Dan has said no to a carport type of a structure. I am working with Maeghan to see about using the Adult Center for court as there is much more room to have the majority of the clients in out of the weather and in a safer (lit) area now that the weather is turning colder, wetter and the days are getting shorter. We will keep everyone apprised of how this will work moving forward. Lots of room, no tents or car ports at all required? Andy Andy

Catching up on this. This may be an issue for Planning. Its hard to tell someone no to these carports if our code doesn’t allow them and then do it ourselves. Let me think on this a bit more and get back to you.

Frank absolutely, I would say that a parking space covered by a carport is still good to cover a car!

Andy,
Is there any reason why the space couldn’t still be used when court is not in session on the off days even though its covered?

Thant’s exactly what I was thinking. So it would be like… this. $2500 tops.

That’s a great suggestion, and you’re right as far as the tents not holding up to the winter weather, but I just don’t know where we would put up and keep something more permanent like that. Unless we designated a parking space in the parking lot for that sole use. Any thoughts on where to put something like that?

Folks, we have no problem putting these tents up, or cleaning out the storage shed as requested, or repairing the tents as they wear out from these additional uses to the best of our ability… but please consider again that I personally do not think these tent are going to survive winter weather. I recommend the we consider a more permanent aluminum car-port type structure that will get court through this covid problem during the winter months, and that will require no weekly/bi-weekly setup, tear down, or maintenance. I am not complaining! Ever crew member has expressed they are happy to help! I just don’t want you guys to be up-a-creek one day because the tent was crushed under a morning ice loads, or blew away sand bags and all, in the hours just before court was supposed to start!
Thank you for listening, I won’t mention this concern again.
Respectfully,
Andy

Wednesday morning, please take the canopy down. They are going to be stored in the little storage shed by the back door. please clean that closet out and then put both 10X20 canopies as well as the 10X10 if it will fit.
