Subject: Update on ClackCo PublicAlerts

Dear Cities Emergency Managers,

As you may know Clackamas County has purchased a new emergency notification system and is rebranding from CCENS to ClackCo PublicAlerts. The cities of Lake Oswego and Milwaukie have chosen to no longer maintain their own systems and will rely on the one countywide system, like the rest of the cities and fire districts.

With this change we decided to develop a banner on the sign up page that was easy for all county residents to see they should register in this new system no matter where they live within the county. I worked with our Public and Government Affairs office to develop the attached banner you will see on the registration page.

I did not have access to the logos for Rivergrove, Barlow, nor Johnson City. If you are with one of those cities and can send me a logo I will update the banner accordingly.

Tomorrow Clackamas County will be sending out a press release urging residents to sign up in the new system. I will send you a copy of the press release and information about our social media campaign tomorrow. Also, we will do a Facebook Live video around noon tomorrow from the Disaster Management Facebook page.

If you have any questions about this please contact me directly.

Thank you,

Jamie Poole
