Yes to the good answer. No to the fix. We cannot get replacement parts for the playground equipment. We are working on funding opportunities for the replacement of the entire playground equipment since the existing one is no longer supported. Hopefully, we will be able to fund in the upcoming fiscal year. There is no dedicated funding source for upkeep and replacement costs associated with playground equipment and the funds used for parks comes solely from the General Fund and competes with other departmental funding such as Police, Administration, Planning, Finance, and City Council funding.
