Everything will be OK. We will keep doing good work for the community. Really happy there are no more political advertisements on TV. Was starting to wear on me a bit.

Subject: Election

Congratulations, Jody and Crystal, on retaining your seat on Council. And, welcome, Steve! I look forward to working with all of you for the next two years. We have so many exciting things to do.

Keith, you will be sorely missed but we are counting on you to continue to pursue your passion for affordable housing in Molalla. You have made so many contacts already. I will continue to work alongside you to bring housing affordability to Molalla.

We have momentum. We will keep rolling forward, bettering our community by building on the values of our people, while maintaining that small home-town feel we all treasure.

As for me, personally, I am naturally very disappointed in the results for Mayor. My thanks and appreciation to all of you who supported me. While Mayor Elect Keyser will present a plethora of new challenges to keep me busy, I assure you that he will not deter me from serving this community I love so dearly. Just in case anyone is unclear, I will NOT support the 'first thing he wants to do' when in office, which is fire City Manager Dan Huff.

A special note of thanks to Dan and Staff. You are the absolute BEST to work with. We will weather the storm together.

A friend posted this today and it was a reminder and encouragement to me. "When you reframe setbacks as opportunities, you find that you gain much more than you have lost." I need to keep this over my desk.

Most Sincerely,

Leota Childress
