Mayor and Council – As a reminder, I will be in Newport at the Oregon City Managers Conference. I am accessible if something comes up. I should swing back in on Friday. In the meantime my staff are big boys and girls and they can take care of issues as needed.
Also, we do not have a Council meeting this week so please enjoy the week off. You all will still receive the same vacation pay. Please be looking at the League of Oregon Cities Conference in September and let us know if you plan on attending so we can register you. The Conference is on the same week as Celebrate Molalla so it might be a little interesting.
Finally, we had a meeting yesterday regarding the potential new Police Station. We received a draft agreement with regard to infrastructure (developed by our attorney working with the developers attorney). We should receive a proposed agreement for the police station this week and we will schedule a discussion with you all at your next meeting. The facility is much needed for the department but we have a lot to consider as part of this process.
