Hi Elizabeth,

The improvement SDC and Admin SDC in the January 01 increase is what changed (went up) on the sewer and transportation SDC’s. They’ve been increased to be half way between what they are now and what they will be on July 01 which is what Council wanted done as part of the phasing in of the increase over one year. I had miscalculated the increase for January 1 on the previous exhibit. This is just cleaning up that error. Thanks and see you tonight.

Thank you for the information and update on the next increase!

I will try and go back to see what the difference is between what should have been approved vs. what was approved... unless that info is being provided this evening? I'm guessing a question about this may come up so everyone fully understands the impact of the correction (i.e., are the rates are going to be higher or lower when corrected?).

Thanks again and see you tonight!

Hi Lizz,

The update you are approving is a correction to the rates that were listed incorrectly for the January increase for sewer and transportation. No changes to the other.

We do increase based on inflation every year so I listed the water, stormwater, and parks since they are unaffected by the large sewer and transportation increases. Once all of the increases are in effect on July 01 then the next inflation increase will be around March 2021.

Hi!

Quick question... to help me refresh my memory on what we are approving, can you provide the supporting information referenced in Resolution 2019-18?

1. The revised Rates established in the System Development Charge (SDC) Methodology attached hereto as Exhibit “A” are hereby adopted.

Also, did the Council agree to automatic inflationary increases annually? I don't recall this part of the discussion but there was a lot of information covered in the report.

2. The inflationary index shall be applied yearly to the water, stormwater and parks rates based on the Engineering News Record (ENR) cost escalation factor Construction Cost Index (CCI) in accordance with the SDC methodology.

3. The inflationary index shall be applied yearly to the transportation and sanitary sewer after December 31, 2020 based on the Engineering News Record (ENR) cost escalation factor Construction Cost Index (CCI) in accordance with the SDC methodology.

Thank you!
