Yes. Wait. You drove through it when they weren’t flashing, right? Just kidding Leota. 

They are triggered by push pads so when pedestrians walk up to the crossing they can push the pads which sets off the flashing beacons. There should also be little signs telling them to make sure traffic stops before walking out into the street. I was going to wait until tomorrow before I go out and look at them and make sure everything was in place. Field trip! Have a good evening all.
