Subject: RE: Code Laguage Update TSP

Importance: Normal

If it is in the right of way then Public Works handles the code enforcement. If there is an obstruction or something we see when out and about then we can address without a complaint, such as, a store filling up the sidewalk area with displays so that pedestrians have difficulty passing. The sidewalks are designed to allow flow of pedestrian traffic and an area next to the parking (furniture zone) for other items like A-frame signs, bike racks, benches, etc.

One more question. Since we don’t have a Code Enforcement Officer, who enforces code problems? Is is only based upon someone filing a complaint?
