Hi Jody,

The new institutional or public assembly areas are automatic and not triggered by a number of parking spaces. This is common to require designated carpool/vanpool for those types of uses to encourage ride sharing versus multiple single occupancy vehicles.

Certain signs are allowed on the sidewalk but only in the furniture zone areas where the sidewalk is wide enough. No signs are allowed in 6’ wide sidewalk areas other than traffic control signs. Must keep sidewalks clear for pedestrians and to meet ADA requirements.

Subject: Code Laguage Update TSP

Just a couple questions on the Code Language Update:

On pg 21..Reference #7 Automoblie Parking...#1b...

Why does this number not have the qualification of “with 50 or more spaces” like 1a and 1c? Is there a reason it is treated differently?

Regarding signs not impeding pedestrians. Can signs be on sidewalks at all, or just not blocking the whole sidewalk?

Thanks,

Jody Newland
