Ordinance 2019-10 Business Licensing Is there any reason we would NOT want to do this? I’m wondering if I am missing something, because I don’t see any negatives to passing it. Gerald can fill you in a little more but no there is no reason not to pass this ordinance. 2. Ordinance 2019-17 Work Sessions Should it state somewhere in the ordinance that work sessions are open to the public, or is that stated somewhere else and would be redundant? No need. All of our meetings are open to the public (State Law) so you are right it would be a little redundant. However, that does not mean you cant place that language in the ordinance. The only time a meeting is not open to the public when there is a quorum of Councilors is during an executive session and there are specific rules that apply to those meetings. 3. Banners It seems like the chamber is not prepared to install 40 banners this year, nor will they be ready by the time we have to take the summer ones down. Is that correct? Should we give them a year to continue raising funds for the 40 banners with a September 2020 installation instead? Would we still need the MOU for that now, so they can continue the process? I agree with you. But this is a Council call. I have my personal opinions regarding the snow scapes. We do not have a lot of winter snow so actual pictures of snow do not make sense. I think October is too early to put up winter banners but they do not want to pay extra for banner installation and removal. Thanks, Jody Newland City Councilor City of Molalla

Mayor and Council – Unfortunately, your agenda package is large due to the lack of a meeting on August 28th. Let us know if you have questions.
