As you have heard the Board of County Commissioners’ has taken action to start the process to place a six-cent gas tax on the November ballot. I am sure that over the coming months many of you will be involved and I wanted to provide a schedule of key dates for that process:
§ July 12 – The BCC will hold a policy session with staff to discuss the gas tax ballot measure and the IGA with cities
§ July 19 – The BCC will meet again to follow up on the same issues
§ July 21 – Public comment invited on the proposed gas tax measure at the 6 p.m. BCC business meeting
§ Aug. 11 – Public hearing and board action expected to formally place the gas tax measure on the November ballot, at the 10 a.m. BCC business meeting
