Dan,

The bill for the installation is attached and only covers the man-hours. The City bought a few parts to make things work that were small in cost. Total bill so far is $1150. Assuming the changing of banners is the same each time will cost the cohort almost $3,500 in manhours.

Hi Dan,

I wanted to summarize this in writing so we all know what is being done now and into the future regardless of staff changes. I will formalize this in a Public Works Policy for my staff.

Heather is generating an invoice for the last time we installed the banners. It is about 20 man-hours and we will need to be reimbursed for the initial install of the banners and to switch out to the 4th of July banners once the authorizations are received from ODOT and PGE. Going forward, as long as Public Works is reimbursed for the time and materials spent on the banners then we will continue with the agreement you have in place. If at any time, the Chamber or the Cohort run out of money or don’t reimburse the City for its costs we will no longer be able to assist with their banner project. This is because we can’t use staff paid for with water, sewer, stormwater, and gas tax money to do work that is not related to their functions.

Heads Up! I also submitted a request to ODOT and PGE to amend the current permit to include the 3 new designs. Waiting to hear back from both. Thanks, Sadie

Welcome back, Dan. Hope you have a nice tan and are well rested.

Connie Farrens is producing the banners for us. She thinks they can have them in a couple of weeks and we'd like to get them up as soon as possible.

Mitch Jorgenson has agreed to let the City use his man-lift for the installation. Could you get the crew scheduled and let me k.now what date please. I'll be there.

Thanks!
