Dan and Andy,

Looking for your thoughts on this. If this is an issue then why don’t we remove it and install gravel as time and $ allow. Am putting together the budget now and just need to know what kind of cost I will need in the parks budget. Thanks.

Regards,

Molalla Public Works & Councilor Shankle:

I am writing to you as a citizen who is concerned with the extremely poor condition of the sidewalk on Shirley St, between the Buckeroo Grounds and Hwy 211.

This sidewalk is City property, if I am correct in my information obtained from the website regarding Bohlander Field. It is clearly marked as City Property in your Parks and Recreation Master Plan.

The sidewalk is slick due to the growth on the surface, and makes it a danger to those of us who run. The sidewalk is in severe disrepair, lots of holes, divets and in some places, it’s crumbling away.

This sidewalk is a place I run, but the surface actually made me run on the road, because it was not slippery.

I am writing to you to address the slick surface first, but secondly to see if this stretch of sidewalk is slated for any kind of replacement in the future. If this is posted on the webpage anywhere and I overlooked it, I do apologize.

Thank you for taking the time to evaluate my concern.
