Thanks for that information. The septic tank has not been decommissioned. So if I understand correctly; first, the current owner needs to decommission existing septic tank prior to our purchase (prior to change in account). Does this step need a permit or is it just inspected prior to receiving a permit from the County for the connection? Once the septic tank is decommissioned and we have a plumbing permit with the County then the City receives notification that all is good? At that point do we get the SDC permit? I may need to chat on the phone to get the information straightened out. I thought this method would be easier to pass on to my partner.
Thanks for your patience!

As part of the requirements for connection, the property owner was required to decommission the septic system and connect to the sewer system. To my knowledge that has not been completed and will be required prior to a change in account. The connection requires a plumbing permit through Clackamas County and the City must receive a notification from Clackamas County or DEQ that the septic system was abandoned in accordance with state/county rules. Hope that information helps.

The address is 1441 SE Main Street. It is zoned C-2 and the house is residential use. Thanks for your quick response!

Hi Tracy,
A couple of questions. First, can you please provide me with the address of the property in question. Second, some of the properties on Main Street are commercial or industrial uses only. What is the intended use for the property in question. Thanks.

Subject: SDC costs
I am looking at purchasing a piece of property on Main Street near Safeway. There is a sewer line that is already on the property. It lacks the last 240’ to connect to the house. I saw what the typical cost for a residence is and wondering if that is the cost I would be looking at?
