That is unfortunate. I let the Lt in PD know there was an issue out there and will ask them to have the night patrols do a random run by to see if they can educate individuals about noise after hours and potential code violations. Hopefully that will take care of it.

Sadly, your department was my last hope. I have done everything in my power to try to resolve the situation. I appreciate your time and effort regarding this matter.

Dear Mr. Ellis,

Thank you for submitted your citizen concern form. We've reviewed the curb island located on Ridings Avenue in front of the apartment complex and have determined that is not obstructing the road travel way. This island has been in place for a number of years and will likely remain until a full roadway improvements with curbs and sidewalks is constructed.

In regards to your concerns about people loitering at this location I believe there are two options available to you. One option would be to make contact with the property manager and let them know of your concerns. They may be able to address the issue if it is their tenants creating a problem. If that doesn’t work then the second option would be to contact the Police Department on their non-emergency number at 503-655-8211. That number will get you to dispatch so that you can speak with a Police Officer. I hope this information helps. Thank you.

Regards,

Question/Comment: The apartments at 511 Ridings Ave have a curb that extends out into the public right of way. The curb is also too high. Their are many people loitering on this curb at all hours. I would like someone to inspect this curb for code violation.
