Thanks for the reply. Am I understanding that once Ona Way is completed it will connect to S View Ln in the Bear Creek subdivision where the dead end is now?

Dear Ms. Harrington,
We are in the process of securing the extension of Ona Way to OR 211 (W Main Street). Once that is completed the City will move forward with a project to construct that connection. All of the streets within Bear Creek Subdivision have adequate width to allow for parking on both sides of the street and travel in both directions, with the exception of the areas on North Valley Drive and N Hezzie Lane where no parking signs are posted. If you do see vehicles parking in areas posted with “No Parking” signs, please contact the Police Department at 503-829-8817 (Business Line).
Molalla Forest Road is closed to vehicular traffic and is currently being developed into a bicycle and pedestrian pathway. Thank you for contacting us and if you see any issues with parking or blocking of the roadway, feel free to contact the Police Business line above.

Subject: Bear Creek Subdivision
Hi,
I live in the Bear Creek subdivision just off 211 here in Molalla. I contacted ODOT with my question but they referred me to you.
We only have one entrance/exit street off Hezzie Ln in this complex of about 100 homes. There are probably 5 or more dead end streets out of here but they are all blocked off. People park on both sides of the streets in here so we have to move over when another car is coming. Big trucks and delivery vans park in the street and there is no other way to get out of here when that happens.
I feel this is a dangerous situation. If an emergency like a fire or medical issue came up and the street was blocked it would be critical.
I’ve read that one entrance can help if there is a burglary and they want to trap the burglar but that is a rare issue.
Do you have any plans to open up one of these dead ends and give us another way in and out of here? South Molalla Forest Road is just to the west of us but is blocked off. Couldn’t that be opened up??
Please get back to me on this. I’d appreciate it!
Thanks, Lynne Harrington
