The owner of 1441 W Main should currently be paying for sewer base and sewer use. If not then that needs to start right away. I think Ginger already made that change.

Without a certification that the septic system was abandoned properly, no new user will be allowed for that property and the water service will be locked off if the property is sold to another party. This was a condition for the property owner to pay SDC’s before the increase and install a sewer lateral to a cleanout. He has not to our knowledge finished the rest of his conditions. Until the conditions are met this will also place a hold on any land use action for the property until it is resolved.

As part of the requirements for connection, the property owner was required to decommission the septic system and connect to the sewer system. To my knowledge that has not been completed and will be required prior to a change in account. The connection requires a plumbing permit through Clackamas County and the City must receive a notification from Clackamas County or DEQ that the septic system was abandoned in accordance with state/county rules. Hope that information helps.

The address is 1441 SE Main Street. It is zoned C-2 and the house is residential use. Thanks for your quick response!

Hi Tracy,

A couple of questions. First, can you please provide me with the address of the property in question. Second, some of the properties on Main Street are commercial or industrial uses only. What is the intended use for the property in question. Thanks.

I am looking at purchasing a piece of property on Main Street near Safeway. There is a sewer line that is already on the property. It lacks the last 240’ to connect to the house. I saw what the typical cost for a residence is and wondering if that is the cost I would be looking at?
