Hi Ms. Bursell,

Thank you for your email regarding the property west of the Molalla Forest Road pedestrian pathway. If it is the property I'm thinking of, the property owner has cleared the site due to continued issues with individuals trespassing on the property, leaving trash, needles and other undesirable items. It has been an ongoing enforcement issue with the City and the clearing of the site was likely to eliminate an element that was not welcome on the property and could have posed additional issues for your neighborhood.

At this point in time there are no plans that we are aware of for this site to develop and Molalla Forest Road ped path is not open to vehicular traffic. Once the property owner's concerns have been addressed it will likely return to a natural state. The property is zoned light industrial and has the ability to be converted into a manufacturing or other approved use. Hope this answered your questions regarding the property. Thank you.

Regards,

Name of Citizen: Leanna Bursell

Mailing Address: 1007 Bear Creek Drive

E-Mail: lmbursell14@gmail.com

Phone Number: 5037294129

Department: Other

Nature of Concern: Across the Molalla Forest Road from the Bear Creek subdivision is a tremendous amount of clearing. We walk the road daily and it used to be surrounded by trees and bushes and is now completely bare, aside from a few lone trees remainging on the west side. I am concerned about the future of this site and how it will affect the homes around it. It's already a disappointment to no longer have a nice walk along the road. Thank you for your time.
