Nature of Concern:
Hello,
Today September 26th 2020, at 1145 my family returned home to the horrific smell of the Columbia hemp trading company resuming operations. The foul and thick smell of rotting fish, pot and wet garbage is palpable in the nose and mouth without any inclination of leaving. It has been around from 11:45am when we returned home to now 6:40 pm and it still lingers. This affects my children and myself as the odor induces coughing and nausea to the level we are unable to utilize our backyard in any capacity.
This business is and will continue to affect the city if left to run amuck. Property values will fall dramatically, people will leave this nice town. Previously there was a hearing for the smell pre covid, but it seems like they have ended their hiatus.
I might add that their operation also creates a large amount of noise pollution as well from their dryers running from even a mile away. I can't even imagine how loud it is for those nearby.
