OK, thanks for the clarification. We will cancel the meeting for now. Lauren, will you please contact Mark Factors, share the color coded map with him and determine the EXACT location of his reported issued. We will then determine who the appropriate agency is to talk to, thanks.

Mr. Meyer, sorry for the misunderstanding, but I cannot meet with about the property behind Mark Factors backyard, or offer any advice on the use of private property. I can only meet to discuss the properties specifically owned or Operated by the City of Molalla, which are in dark blue in the map below. I apologize for the confusion!

For maintenance questions related to the property behind 1057 Mountain View Ln, any landscaper should be able to advise you, and there is also the Clackamas County Soil and Water Conservation District, which has rules that allow them to discuss use of private property with property owners, and even sometimes has grants available fairly easily: (503) 210-6000

As a side note, thank you for the wonderful park the HOA maintains. I live on Meadowlark and my 4 kids and I enjoy it on a daily basis.

Respectfully,

Andy Peters

Lauren, I left you a voicemail, but to summarize: I am able to discuss any of the bioswales in dark blue below (12,3,4,5,6 in Big Meadow). If you can confirm really quickly by replying that these are our topics, then I will pen you in for Friday, August 30th around 2:00pm, at the Harvey and June Burghardt Memorial Parking lot. Confirm? Thanks very much!

Hello Lauren, thanks for contacting the City of Molalla. If the bioswales, or areas you are asking about, are platted to the City of Molalla then it makes sense for us to look at them together, feel free to propose a time. If the swales under discussion are not platted to the City, such as the Harvey and June Burghardt Park, then the City is not able to provide any advice on landscaping solutions, per say. Probably the best approach is to follow the bioswales’ original design. We were able to find that from the As-Built drawings, it’s attached. Let us know your thoughts?

Respectfully,

Andy Peters

Dear Community Planner and Dan,

We would like to schedule a landscape walk with the city at Big Meadow HOA. We want to trim and landscape an area of bioswales. The city used to maintain it, however, it was deemed to be an HOA responsibility. But with the bioswale we want to ensure we are handling the area responsibly and would like to walk the area of concern with the city and discuss possible landscaping solutions that work for everyone involved. Please advise.

Yours truly,

Lauren Mosby
