Just an FYI for all…

I have updated the price increase info on all Utility Billing pages of the website. I corrected all three applications, created fillable forms and have placed them on the website, as well.

On the website this information is listed under Utility Billing. The current rates are listed. Water rates are listed under “Use this chart to calculate your rate.”

I hope this info will help when contacting Ms. Whitman.

Subject: Citizen Requesting Callback regarding more info on Water Rate Increases

Citizen Sheri Whitman, 503-781-2465, of 606 S. Taylor Ct. called in inquiring about her water/sewer rate increases. She didn’t know why she wasn’t notified of the rate increases, but notified of the late fee increase. I told her because the late fee increase was an administrative fee, the fee increase notifications are sent out, however the water/sewer step increases are set by city council and the public isn’t necessarily notified each time they bump up. She wants to know where to go online to see this schedule and where to look in the future for any updates, and how it came to be.

Please call her back. She was very nice, but very curious about the process and disturbed about the city being “shady” and how we’re not notifying of these increases.
