Mr. Coffey,

Please see email string below regarding your company. I understand you again contacted our City Manager via email with a LOC letter included (see attached). The League of Oregon Cities does not represent the City of Molalla in matters within its corporate limits. The same information provided below to you remains in place. The City will not endorse your company as it is not our place to do so. If you try to do business in the community then you must follow the code requirements related to setting up a business in Molalla. You do not need to contact City staff regarding your services going forward. Thank you.

Mr. Coffey – Your program is not currently in the que for City Council approval. The City of Molalla is a City Manager form of Government and I do not believe your program is a policy decision that the City Council would have purview. The City does not currently endorse or approve other insurance agencies and I doubt they would consider your program as something they would choose to endorse. Please make sure the City’s name or logo (the logo is copyrighted) is not on any notices you may choose to send.

Mr. Coffey,

If you intend to market your product to property owners in town as a business, I suggest that you contact the Finance Department and take out a business license with the City. Also, you may not use the name of or represent the City of Molalla in your marketing materials. Please remove City emails form your email list as it is considered unrequested marketing or spam by our agency.
