Subject: 16-010 Molalla Avenue Improvements - Citizen Concern RE Road Safety

Importance: Normal

Dear Ms. Finney,

We have performed a traffic control inspection and will be issuing a notice to correct some signage issues today. I also observed an operator in the travel lane and told them to post a flagger immediately and anytime in the future when they are working in the travel lanes. Please feel free to contact me directly if you encounter the contractor blocking travel lanes without a flagger. If you observe motorist driving the wrong way down Molalla Avenue, I encourage you to contact our police department and give them a description of the vehicle, description of the driver, and the license number. It’s very important to get the license number so Police can make contact with the owner of the vehicle. Thank you for sharing your observations with us and again feel free to contact me with concerns in the future. I have direct access to the superintendent for the general contractor (ML Houck Construction) constructing this project.

Regards,

Gerald Fisher, P.E. | Public Works Director
