Grant and Connie,

This came in today from League of Oregon Cities that the chamber may want to circulate with their members. Please see below.

Oregon Heritage Program Accepting Grant Applications

The Oregon Heritage Program, implemented by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, is currently accepting applications for the following revitalization grants:

· The new Oregon Main Street Revitalization Grant program will provide awards up to $100,000 for projects that acquire, rehabilitate or construct buildings in downtown areas for economic development. Grant funds can cover up to 70 percent of project costs. The required 30 percent local match can be cash, in-kind, volunteer time or other grant funds. Applications are due March 17. The Oregon Main Street Network program has existed for a number of years, but the new grant program came about due to $2.5 million in lottery bond funding appropriated in the 2015 legislative session to help finance and provide crucial seed money for redevelopment projects. The League advocated for this funding and assisted with rulemaking.

· The Diamonds in the Rough program provides matching grants up to $20,000 to help restore or reconstruct historic building facades. Applications are due by May 12.

· The Historic Cemeteries Grant program provides funds for historic cemeteries. Awards generally are up to $8000 and applications are due May 2.

· The Oregon Museum Grant supports museums doing collections care, education and heritage tourism projects. Awards generally are up to $8000 and applications are due May 2.

· The Preserving Oregon Grant provides funding for work on historic properties listed on the National Register of Historic Places as well as archaeology projects. Matching grants may be awarded up to $20,000 and applications are due May 12.
