PW condition on business license. If we receive any complaints about car parking then the business license is void. All cars need to be in front if his residence or in his driveway. No parking of vehicles beyond those limits.

Hi Andy,
He has submitted his DMV license along with his Business License for approval. That form is with Dan Zinder to approve.
Just to give you the background that I got from the applicant, he currently works at Oregon City Subaru and is getting his license to be able to sell a few cars on the side.
Thank you,
Darlene

Darlene, when it comes to car dealers we save ourselves a lot of headache by knowing that they are certified. Oregon law does not allow persons to buy and sell more than five vehicles per year without a valid dealer certificate. Getting the certificate includes training which makes the dealer aware of a lot of rules they must follow, rules which incidentally prevent headache for a local government agency (environmental, parking, signage, etc). I think we are within our rights to ask for a copy, or at least their Certificate number. If they say they don’t have/need one then they are selling less than 5 cars per year and probably wouldn’t even need a business license… which would raise some red flags.
Thanks!
Andy

Subject: Business License Application
Good morning gentlemen,
Attached is a business license application for a car sales business. He has assured me that he is using his home as his office only, he will be delivering cars to customers as he gets them and not storing extra vehicles at his house.
Please let me know if you have any questions/concerns/comments or if you approve the issuance of this license.
Thank you,
Darlene Bishop
