Dan, Gerald and Chaunee,

Mr. Nick Meuret took your business cards after being dissatisfied with the City Hall service he received. Here is a recap of what happened.

9am - ish – Yelling at Chelsi that he has a nanny and children at his house and how dare we shut the water off. He shared he received letters and notices and “would get to it”. He was most unpleasant about the “ridiculous” $50.00 reconnect fee sharing his disgust with nasty comments about City Hall history and business practice. Chelsi was calm and professional and tried to explain how to resolve this situation. He insisted on a supervisor. Heather then spoke with him as he rehashed much of the same information shared with Chelsi – most angry that he has to leave work and deal with this and we are ripping him off with the $50.00 fee. Explained our notification process since last August and he didn’t care. Most angry that he had to leave work and come to City Hall to take care of this.

11am – Came into City Hall aggressive – Heather dealt with him at the counter. Gave him an application and explained what part was his and what part was his landlords. Nick then left with door slams.

11:45am – Landlord called and expressed that an angry Nick was just there for a signature. She wanted to confirm that we received the property owners application for her as the property manager. She was very pleasant and commented that all of her other properties were able to comply except him.

12:15pm – Nick is back at City Hall. Filled out his portion of the application while verbally berating Chelsi to the extent that Maeghan began to watch the situation as a backup. Chelsi was sitting at the front counter and Mr. Meuret was leaning over the computer expressing himself about the urgency we needed to have to turn his water on NOW. He then stormed out – and turned around and returned and insisted on a supervisor of public works. Heather went to get Gerald. Gerald down and calm voiced Mr Meuret said he simply wanted the business cards of those in charge of utility billing. As he turned to leave he responded with “he knows what the City is like because he has a business here”.

Looked him up in Caselle – Mr. Meuret runs NV Feed at 603 W. Main Street.

We tried our best to be professional with him, he wasn’t interested in anything we had to say.

Thanks!
