Attachments: image001.jpg; image002.jpg; Thanks Steve, In an effort to keep you in the loop… She was kind enough when she came to the counter yesterday, however, she did share that she’d had a conversation with Gary Deardorf (guy who owns a lot of downtown) who was encouraging her to go to the local paper with her complaints about the City not cooperating with her. I explained that you are interim with us, and that you have limited office hours here. I smoothed things over the best I can, but this is a delicate situation for sure. I’d love for you and Dan and Gerald to have a conversation before one of us calls her back. Best, C. One is located at 204 E. Main St. (zoned C-1), and the other is at 202 W. Main St. (zoned C-2). It’s my understanding the Soo is looking at the one located at 204 E. Main St., which would not allow for a gas station. I sent Soo an email this morning asking her to confirm the address for the property in question. I will update everyone once I hear back from her. I also sent Dan a detailed email on Monday informing him know that Soo and others would like to re-open the gas station, but it would require amending the text in the code to allow for it. This would be a discussion for Dan to have with the city council to see if there is a willingness to amend to code. I also told Soo that she could open the convivence store under the current code, but not the gas station. See you all tomorrow. She is a Commercial/Business Broker that has purchased the old gas station at 204 E. Main Street. She is looking to reopen the business, and I believe she said she was working with Arco. I don’t know if any of this is familiar to you, she may have talked to you, or she may keep coming in when you aren’t here…I got lost on that part! She would like to meet with you & Dan. Gerald would like to attend the meeting, as well. Let’s get together tomorrow (Friday) when you are here and look at some appointment time options. I have access to both Dan & Gerald’s calendars. I’m happy to call her or you can. It’s just important that we get back with her. Thanks, Steve. Chat soon!
