Subject: RE: SDC's Toliver Estates

Importance: Normal

Hello Ty,

In working through our SDC policy it appears that we were supposed to be charging SDC’s for each of the units and that had not been done in the past. SDC are based on impact to the system which each new unit creates an impact. We decided not to go back and collect on the previous connections since the documentation for this old development was not complete in regards to SDC’s. Going forward we will be charging for each connection. Sorry if this caused any confusion for your organization. These corrections have come up as we review each account and each development to ensure we are following the municipal code and SDC requirements. Our SDC’s are covered under Chapter 13.14 and we have reviewed the exemption portion in 13.14.100. None of the new units are covered as an exempt status.

As a side, Aldo’s last day was Friday. We have an interim Planner working for us and his name is Steve Miller. He can be reached at Aldo’s number 503.759.0219 and he will be setting up office hours. Thanks.

Subject: SDC's Toliver Estates

Hello Gerald,

I received the SDC estimate for our next 2 lots that we are developing at Toliver Estates and I was surprised to see an increase in $3,943 compared with the previous 3 lots that we have previously developed only a couple months prior.

It appears as though this time we were charged for:

"Water: Residential/Commercial/Industrial--Improvement, Reimbursement, Admin= $3,943"

Why did you charge us for this on 1410 and 1430 Boardwalk when you did not charge us on 1340, 1350, and 1400 Boardwalk? (see attached for reference)

Thank you and have a Merry Christmas,

Ty Pollman
