The list comes from the City of Tigard, who lead in urban forestry. When you and the city are ready to explore this dimension of city planning, I recommend you visit the City of Tigard’s website (link below). It is incredibly comprehensive. It contains a plan, policies, code, frequently asked question, links to their permit application, etc. Trees have many community benefits and when the correct tree is chosen, there is relatively no maintenance.
