Thanks, Gerald. What was the total coliform number on the 26th?
If it was just one day, have finance do a transfer of $500. I'll draft up a
notification letter tomorrow, and we can send it to the Plaintiffs when the
transfer is done.

Hi Mark,
So we busted our sample on the 26th. That is the only day out and our staff
has done some trouble shooting to try to avoid a recurrence of a failed
sample. Will need to do the notification of the one day fail. Let me know
when done and how much and I will have Finance do the transfer and send it
back to you. Thanks.

Hi Gerald,
Per the Recycled Water Class A permit "After disinfection, total coliform
may not exceed:
--- A median of 2.2 organisms per 100 mL based on daily sampling over the
last 7 days that analyses have been completed.
--- 23 organisms per 100 mL in any single sample.
The speculation as to why there was a high count for coliform that specific
day (June 26th) is that the gun was located in a section on the Coleman
field where there is cattle roaming. Unfortunately, there is no visual way
to know if the cattle came in contact with the nozzle on the gun. It's
possible that the cattle rubbed against it or licked the nozzle. Since this
has occurred, we have taken additional precautions to avoid this situation
again. The nozzle is disinfected everyday prior to taking the sample. The
other possibility that we concluded was that the sample bottles that we were
using were from last year. We have discarded those bottle and are using the
most recent sample bottles.
Please let me know if you have any additional information that I can
provide.
Thank you,
Jaimee Searcy
