Brenda,

On your timesheet for the workweek of November 5-11 you actually worked 35.5 hours and had 8 hours of holiday pay. Below is the statement from BOLI as to how overtime is calculated when leave or holiday time is used. You had 43.5 total hours. You can be paid/accrued the 3.5 hours at regular rate of pay but not calculated as overtime (or comp time earned). Let me know if you have questions on this otherwise you can initial the change on your timesheet. Heather has your timesheet.

The required overtime pay is 1.5 times the hourly rate for hours worked in excess of 40 in a workweek. Overtime is calculated based on hours actually worked Unless a policy, contract or collective bargaining agreement states otherwise, you neednĀ“t count sick leave, vacation time, holidays, or other paid time during which the employee did not actually work.
