Guys,

Just receive a report from Finance. In looking at the budget, we have spent 96% of the O&M budget in sewer and 73% of the O&M budget in water. We will need to curtail our spending as much as possible for the rest of the year to only things that are make or break for the department. Going forward, I will need you to supply me with justifications for purchases before they happen. This includes purchases at Ace Hardware. Please make a list of the things you will need to get us through June 30^th along with the costs so we can pick the high priority items.

We want to avoid doing a transfer resolution if possible since it cuts into our ability to do the projects you’ve identified in next years budget. I have started the rate study and we will be trying to increase rates for capital projects to give our materials and services budgets some breathing room. Thanks.
